Hello and welcome to my fabulous new blog! My name is Kristy Huston and I am a modern photographer. Eight years ago, I began my journey in photography and quickly discovered my love of photographing people. I went on to earn an Associate of Art Degree in photography and then studied fine art for my Bachelors Degree. My style is simple, fresh, and bold! I believe there is beauty in every person. I absolutely love what I do and could not be happier!!

These photos were taken on a beautiful spring day at Domaine Chandon Winery in Napa. The yellow flowers were in bloom everywhere and made for some amazing scenery. Alicia and Isaiah have such a sweet and playful love- I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in September! Thanks to you both for the wine and a great day in Napa!!

As Sondra and Ali’s wedding approached they were constantly checking the weather forecast, hoping for clear skies. On the morning of the wedding the sky looked uncertain- there were even a few sprinkles!
I met up with the girls at Catta Verdera- they were sipping mimosas and laughing. Before I knew it the room was filled with bustling women. As Sondra finished putting her dress on a big smile comes over her… I think she even did a little twirl! All the fears for the weather vanished as the sun came out from behind the clouds- just in time for the ceremony!
Sondra and Ali- your wedding couldn’t have been on a better fall day. You both have such a sweet loving spirit. I had a wonderful time- thank you for the honor of photographing your beautiful wedding.

When Audrey asked me to come by and take a few photos of her new floral designs I just couldn’t say no! I am always amazed at her creativity and talent …and Yes I took this opportunity to do some shameless schmoozing in hopes that Audrey will do flowers for my wedding [date to be determined]. Every time I’m around her she inspires me to be a better entrepreneur- she is full of energy and ideas. Love that!!

Just thought I’d share this little sneak peek from last weekends wedding. The bride had her journal with her and it was so much fun creating this ring shot with it! I literally opened it up to the last page and saw ‘my heart’ and ‘I love him’. So sweet! [I promise I didn't read anything else] The rest of Sondra and Ali’s beautiful Catta Verdera wedding will be up soon.

Say hello to Isla and Giselle- just 14 days old in these photos. I have been looking forward to this photo shoot for months. I love the photo of the twins in their Dad’s arms- you can really see how cute and small they are. They were just under 5lbs each! Congratulations Cecilia and Justin on your healthy and happy baby girls!!

After the ceremony we all piled into a big (very big) limo and drove downtown for photos. I love that!! (Thanks Jody and Jeremy) There’s nothing like a little wedding day adventure in the name of getting great photos.

November 13, 2009 - 12:57 pm - Chasity-- I got the dress at Alfred Angelo. I had the top altered to make it a sweetheart cut and lowered about half an inch. Good luck... I know how difficult dress shopping can be!
November 12, 2009 - 8:04 am - kristy, first of all your picture taking is wonderful. I live in lake charles, louisiana. If i wasnt so far away i would most def get you to do mine!! I was wondering if there was any way to contact jodi. I am madly in loooove with her dress and i wanted to know where she got it from or was it custom made?? I would be soo happy to find that out. I have looked and looked for one even simular to it and cant find anything remotely close to it. If i absoultly have to i will try and find someone to make it. I just hate doing that hoping it is right. I would sooo greatly appreciate that girl. have a great day!! chasity
